Dewey's KS trip

Post by dewey » Tue Apr 17, 2012 10:54 am

I don't have time to write up a full story of the hunt but the short version is a friend of mine and I both harvested our first Rio Grande turkeys. I harvested mine on Friday April 13th and he harvested his on Saturday April 14th. Mine was a mature tom and his was a jake.

I tried to get a picture of the date on my camera but I wasn't able to since the flash would cause a bad reflection on my smart phone. I took a video of me and the turkey and my smart phone with a date visibile and I would be more than happy to send it on for review if need be.

Here are the pictures of my tom.

That is what I was afraid of so I have a video that you can clearly see the date on my smart phone calendar. Or do you think there are other issues with the photos? I would be happy to submit the video, the tag I used, the beard and fan at home or anything else but the night pictures were very tough to get to turn out.

Only problem is they can't see the date. No biggie, shot another one.

Dewey...Congratulations on your bird

Two ideas...if you can figure out how to provide a video that provides what would be required of "still shots"....mainly you with the bird and date verification....submit the clip.

If you think you can kill two more you may not need to worry.

I do think if you can enter two birds for the team we will be in the running for one of the top spots

I wouldn't be too worried about more birds but I have only one hunt left and it is in MN where the bag limit is one. I am in the process of uploading the link to Youtube and the link to view the file is below.

Here is the link to the video on Youtube.

Let me know if this will be acceptable.

These will def go to the judge panel, but just MIGHT pass. The first pic has hunter, fan, and date proof device. The video shows fan and closeup of date device...

Vote might fall your way... good luck!
