I hunted as hard as I know how, yet still came up empty. I got totally screwed out of hunting at my best place at the last minute and that won't happen again. I love being in the woods, but I love turkey hunting more and I feel robbed how this season played out. I feel like I let my team mates down.

Jim,

You have reason to hold your head high....Turkey hunting as everyone knows is location, location, location.

Sounds like your locations played out is all....get out there and find more for next season and get your revenge on them birds.

Great job sticking with it like you did!!

It happens to us all. For I don't know how many years I killed the limit and called in birds for a ton of people. Then in 08 I became an 0'fer. 0 for like 30. Lost my best spot and a terrible hatch left the others empty. I even blew my knee out on a wma hunt just trying to make it happen.

The following year I hunted a grand total of 5 times in 2 states. Killed a bird each hunt. Limited out every year since. You just had a rough year. Next will be different.

Keep your head up buddy....some years are like that. Regroup and get prepared for next year. You gave it 100% and that is success in itself.
