You wouldn't believe where this guy was. I've killed 3 good bucks from the stand there over the years. It's a tiny 12 acre grown up field with a beaver pond on one side and swamp all around. Houses just beyond. What makes it even more strange, is it is surrounded by meat hunters who only shoot bucks. Top 5 for the county, coastal ga area.

Nephew got his first buck last night. All the hard work paid off this year. I sat up a ground blind in a sweet spot I found during turkey season. Planted a plot and sat up a feeder. It has looked like cows have been there ever since. Since I'm tagged out my dad started hunting it heavily, seeing upto 6 bucks at a time. Nephew had already let several smaller bucks walk, so it was nice to see him rewarded for his patience with a fine first buck.

Walked up on this one this morning and lowered the boom on him. Not my best scoring buck ever, but likely my best antler spread.
