Dang, the weather in NE GA doesn't look good for tomorrow. :( Hopefully the rain will hold enough to get some hunting in. However, Sunday looks good! :)

Close call this am! Heard 1 gobblin on roost. Got pretty tight to him and called. And nothing for 2 hours. Figured he must of seen me or something. Get up and walk 100 yrds to edge of cow pasture and there he is out in the middle of it! I stand there and watch for about 5 min and he's angling toward the south east corner of pasture. So I circle back around to get ahead of him. Get around there and notice he has 2 hens with him and guess which way they are headed now! Yep, headed toward the south west corner where I had just left from! So I just belly crawl down fence row behind them trying to intersect them but I couldn't keep up and they crossed the fence about 75 yards in front of me, right where I was standing earlier! I called to them then and he would just stand there and strut and finally moved on with his hens.
These jokers are about to drive me insane!

Yep, that sucks! I had no action today - asked for permission on place across the road, but I doubt I will get word in time for tomorrow. However, there is always next year.

Blew it this am! The bird from yesterday was roosted in same place. So I got in tight on him again except on the side where he flew out on yesterday. He pitched straight down. I called to him a little and he was eating it up. So I got quite on him and just did some scratching in the leaves. He would gobble every time I would make a noise but wouldn't budge. He couldn't have been more than 75 yards but wouldn't come. Then of course he moved the other way out into a pasture. So I crawled out to edge where I could see him and showed him my tail fan. He seen it and took off the other way running! Didn't even have hens with him.
Sucks! I hope I didn't run him out of the county!
