bobby...if you don't mind, give me another pic of a beard being measured. the one posted doesn't show a close up of were you want the tape to start.

i have always short-changed myself of beard length....i wanted to see exactly how you need them measured.

thank you sir.....

Bobby I have a question based on my issues last spring. Is a video starting from the point of showing the entire bird and hunter then zoomed into the date verified acceptable? I did this last year on a bird I got late in the day and by the time we took pictures it was dark and the flash interfered with the date verifier. Just wondering becuase if I shoot a bird late in the day I would like to know what my options are.

Thanks for putting in all of the work Bobby and good luck this spring to you and everyone else.

We just need to be able to pull the same information from a video as clearly as we could from photos....The best thing for you to have if light is an issue is a newspaper although you could probably start at a distance and slowly zoom into your phone. As long as the zoom in is unbroken I believe that would work fine.

Same thing applies for showing your bird. I'd start out at a distance that clearly shows the bird and you, slowly zoom in catching the date verification

This zoom in would work well on beards and spurs.

What you dont want to do is chop the video up to a point there any question about measurements a or that the same bird is being shown

It might pay to practice a bit with what you can pick up at night on your phone with the video camera

Maybe talk in the video the entire time as to verify that is not pieced together??? Not a video person but that may work :?:

Thanks for the response Bobby. If I run into that problem again this year i will drag the turkey into the motel room to make sure I have enough light.

A man has to do what he has to do Dewey and I'm sure the person behind the motel counter will be thrilled to see the dead bird coming thru the lobby :D
