Mopro the A5 is a sweet gun but it might be because I grew up with the old ones so I'm kinda bias. When they first came out you couldn't get a turkey choke for them. Now, I know you can get one from Clark at allaboutshooting.com and I'm thinking Sumtoy might have one also. Its been awhile since I last checked.

My vote A5 all the way

Looks like Scott has swung the vote toward Maxus

I am going to handle both in the next couple of days and make a decision from there....but I still think Scott likes the Maxus :?:

What makes you think that? MAXUS. It is extremely balanced and light on recoil. MAXUS.

No complaints from the maxus here either. A5 would be nice to have too.

I've got a Maxus on order with a 28" barrel thru our MO program......and I agree I'd have preferred a shorter barrel but it was all that was available with our program........Bought it because it seems like Scott may have
Iked the Maxus...but I'm not sure

Don't know anything about the A-5 but it's a good looking gun....may buy one of those at end of year myself

It is a pleasure to shoot. Honestly in South Dakota I miss judged a bird extremely bad. Wide open range I'm not use to got me. He was standing in the middle of a flat opening that went on forever. After a 30 min standoff I took the shot. He went down. I got up to go get him. About had to stop and get some water on the way to him. Have no idea how far it was. Just know it was getting down to the last seconds and I truly believe the Maxus and 3 1/2" Mag Blend is the reason that shot connected.

I'm okay with it but would have preferred the 26".........the 28" becomes a 30"once you put the choke tube in :)

Agreed. A 28" barrel gets real long with an extended choke tube, and I believe it doesn't balance as well sitting on your knee as a shorter barrel.
