Post by DUPREE » Sat Mar 15, 2014 6:19 pm

Killed a 2yr old in bama about 2pm. Paul was napping and I was exploring and got lucky. Took pics, I've got 7 days to enter and 7 more turkey tags do I will see what the next week holds for me. Today was day 1 of 10 straight I'll be hunting.

The picture of Paul crawling I took at an earlier set up. We had birds inside 25 that strutted in behind the saplings to the left of Paul.

It's my secret mid day weapon. Find tree, call 1-2 times. Close eyes and listen.
Head down, ears open, mouth closed. Kill turkeys.

I can't say anything because there have been a few times when I woke up from a nap and see or hear a bird right in front of me.

Congrats on the tom! Our youth hunt in SCarolina is tomorrow. Im taking my cousin's son, for the 3rd time. Weve had terrible luck the last three years. Ive scouted one track I have, and there are 3 longbeards hanging around a food plot. We will be in my blind 30 minutes before good light, with my motion decoy an several decoys. I hope he can shoot straight!
