My name is Bruce Kipper and I live in Phoenix, Arizona. I just started hunting turkey 3 years ago and I have caught the bug. I have yet to get one but just got drawn in unit 27 in AZ. I am determined to get my first turkey in 2015. Any tips from you long timers would be awesome.

Welcome Bruce!!! I think you may be the first here from Arizona. I'm very curious of how the turkey hunting is out there.

Thanks Ross for the welcome. Turkey hunting in AZ is primarily located from the New Mexico border through the white mountains along the Mogollon Rim. The bird population is back on the rise after the big fire we had a few years ago. I hunt mainly around Greer, AZ in the white mountains. I am determined to get a nice Merriam this year.
